Class Descriptions

 

Beginner/Intermediate Yoga

This Hatha-based class combines movement, breath work and mindfulness. In this class there is no expectation of any previous knowledge about the postures or yoga; it is suitable for both beginners and students wishing to go at their own pace. Modifications will be offered to meet students’ needs.

Intermediate Yoga

This class combines movement, breath work and mindfulness. A combination of flowing sequences and holding postures create a more challenging class. Classes will build upon one another. This class is geared towards students with a background in yoga; however, modifications will be offered to meet students’ needs.

Fusion Yoga

This class is a combination of the Intermediate and Gentle Yoga classes formerly offered on Thursday evenings. This class will be suited to the students in the class: more challenging variations of postures will be offered to those wishing more of a challenge, and those wishing a gentler variation of the posture will also receive instruction on modifying the posture to suit their needs.

Flow Yoga

This class combines movement, breath work and mindfulness in a practice consisting mostly of flowing sequences. Classes will build upon one another. This class is geared towards students with experience in yoga; however, modifications will be offered to meet students’ needs.

Gentle Yoga

A soothing class with a blend of mindful breathing and movement, this class will help reduce stress and increase strength and flexibility by combining breathing techniques with gentle stretching. This class will provide an opportunity to stretch and strengthen the body while focusing the mind on the postures. All levels of student are welcome. Modifications to the postures will be offered to suit students’ needs.
